WE ARE CLAY x Florence Mytum workshop 22nd January 2026

£35.00

Date: Thursday 22nd January 2026

Time: 7:30pm-9:30pm

Address: Exale Taproom, Unit 2C Uplands Business Park, E17 5QJ

Come down to the Exale Tap room for an evening of pottery with your pals. Learn the basics of pinch pots to make your own espresso cup, trinket dish, bowl, plant pot, or whatever your heart desires. Be inspired by the grade two listed interiors. Enjoy beer brewed in the building and a wide selection of other drinks from the bar to sip whilst you make. The session will be run by professional potters and good friends Flo (Florence Mytum Ceramics) and Suzy (We Are Clay).

Materials, glazing and the firing of your piece(s) is all included in the price. Flo and Suzy will glaze and fire your piece(s) after the event and they will be ready for you to collect from Exale 6-8 weeks after the event. No experience necessary - suitable for all levels, beginners and seasoned pros alike!

Useful information

  • Your email confirmation will act as your ticket for the workshop

  • We hope you understand that you cannot bring your own drinks or food to the venue

  • Clay comes out easily from your clothes so no need to bring anything special to wear. If you have an apron you can bring it along but it is not a requirement

  • You may want to cut your nails before the workshop as it makes it easier but this is not a requirement

  • Pick your piece up from the taproom 6-8 weeks after the event

  • We are offering one ticket at a reduced cost of £15 for someone who would otherwise struggle to afford a full price ticket. This will be given on a first come first serve basis and will be confidential. Just email hello@weareclay.co.uk

  • Please note the space where the pottery will take place is not wheelchair accessible

  • Cancellation policy - if you need to cancel you will get a full refund up to 48 hours before the event. Cancellations after this time will not be subject to a refund.

  • Please note the minimum number to run the workshop is 10 people - less than this the workshop may not be able to go ahead
